Key Highlights
Every good tracker is built in English first
Cal AI, MyFitnessPal and the rest are built in English and localised later, if at all. Nobody had made a version native to Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian or Montenegrin, despite people searching for exactly that. And manual logging does not survive a real meal: nobody looks up gram weights for a bowl of grah, so they quit within days.
A photo instead of a food database
You photograph the plate and get a structured breakdown back in your own language in seconds, editable before it logs. The prompt is tuned for the food people here actually eat rather than an American database that has never heard of burek or ćevapi, and the model key never touches the phone.

Snap a photo, know exactly what you ate
Kalo is a photo-based calorie and macro tracker for the Balkans. Point the camera at your food, it reads the plate into calories and macros, you correct anything wrong, and it logs to your daily total. A native iOS app, fully in the local language, with no English fallback anywhere in the interface.
