AI in tourism in Montenegro
AI in tourism pays its way in a Montenegrin business where messages arrive and nobody is free to answer them. For hotels, apartments, tour operators and restaurants, here is where it helps, where it does not, and what we have built for tourism on this coast so far.
A season on the coast squeezes most of a year’s enquiries into a few months. Guests write in several languages, often late at night, often to three places at once. The staff who could answer are checking guests in, serving tables or driving a transfer. That gap is where AI does real work. Almost everything else a tourism business needs is ordinary software, a clear website or a better Google listing.
Where AI in tourism actually helps
What we have built for tourism
Four of our projects were built for tourism, on this coast and in the mountains. Only one of them is AI, and that is deliberate.
A fifth, Room View Insight, was a one-day spike on a hotel occupancy dashboard that reads live bookings and shows which channel each came through. Two of its four planned tabs work, and it has stopped there. We wrote it up in a hotel occupancy dashboard built in one day.
The Quadomania site is the clearest example of leaving AI out. Tourists choosing between two operators on a phone already message on WhatsApp and Viber, so the booking form fills in the message and hands it over. Cards, deposits and accounts were left out, because each one is a step where people stop.
Where it does not help
- When nobody can find you. A system that answers fast does nothing for a business with an old listing and no website. On the coast, many places have almost no digital presence beyond a map entry nobody has touched in years. Fix that first.
- When you get a few enquiries a week. The free WhatsApp Business app with quick replies and a complete Google Business Profile will do the job.
- When every price is bespoke. A private tour or a group booking priced by hand needs your judgement. The system can collect the dates, the group size and the questions, and you still close it.
- When the work happens at the table. A restaurant that lives on walk-ins gains more from correct hours, a menu and photos on its Google listing than from a chatbot.
How to start
A thirty-minute call about where guests slip today. If a system will not pay for itself, we say so on that call. When it will, we build it on your prices, hours, rooms or tours and tone, connect one channel first and run it on real messages. The first channel is usually live in about two weeks, and nothing in your current setup has to change.
Our AI systems start from 2,000 euros for one system on your own information, one channel and the booking connection. The full method is in AI automation for small businesses, step by step, and the hotel version is on Rhomn Systems for hotels and apartments.
Questions owners ask
Will it answer guests in their own language?
Yes. It replies in the language the guest wrote in, at any hour.
Does it replace reception?
No. It answers what you gave it answers for, and anything unusual goes to a person with the details already gathered. You can read every conversation.
Do I need a new booking system?
No. It writes into the calendar or booking tool you already use.
Is it worth it for a few apartments?
Only if messages wait. With a few enquiries a week, the free WhatsApp Business app and a good Google listing are enough.
